I made these while dealing with the reality of late diagnosis, the grief and anger at the closed doors. I might share them on social media when the time is right.
After a night of despair following the European, Belgian, and French (first round) elections, I wanted to do something, anything at all that was a bit more constructive than simply say “this is upsetting”. So I drew some graphics, late into the night.
The consequences of a late ADHD diagnosis are wide-ranging and painful to come to terms with. I build on a powerful metaphor to call for more humanity and kindness for those in my situation.
I was sent on a training which might sound somewhat unusual: The Art of Being Brilliant. I found myself making notes, colourful ones, and being genuinely interested in the evidence-based suggestions we were given.
